Indian River
Home to over 3,000 different species, the 156 mile long Indian River Lagoon (IRL) is America’s most biologically diverse estuary. Although best known as “The Indian River”, the IRL is not a river, but an estuary where freshwater from the mainland meets ocean water.
Banana River
Located between barrier island and Merritt Island, The Banana River is shallow estuary. Snook, redfish, sea trout and tarpon make the estuary’s marshes and marine grass beds home.
Mosquito Lagoon
The Mosquito Lagoon is a shallow estuary bordered on the east by the beaches of Canaveral National Seashore and on the west by the mainland. Located just north of the John F. Kennedy Space Center, the lagoon lies within the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.
Captain Paul Thomas Charters
Get Hooked Up with Capt. Paul for a half or full day fishing adventure on the shallow flats of the Banana River, Indian River, or Mosquito Lagoon.
Your trip begins at daybreak, just in time for a breathtaking Florida sunrise on a 17 foot Mitzi Skiff. The skiff’s specially designed hull is ideal for shallow water fishing.
You will cast at fish that Capt. Paul spots from the stern platform. Capt. Paul looks for tailing or schooling redfish nosing around in the grass for small shrimp and crustaceans, speckled trout busting bait on the surface, snook feeding in and around the mangroves, and tarpon ‘rolling’ on the surface.

Whether you are an experienced fisherman or beginner, Capt. Paul’s job is to find fish and give you the best opportunity of hooking and landing them.
If you just want to sit back and relax, Capt. Paul will customize your trip, by anchoring on the grass flats and waiting for the fish to come to you.
